Opportunity
As MWNN grows and expands, we are excited to introduce a new part-time position, the Network Coordinator. The Network Coordinator is a 20 hour/week, 11 or 12 month (option for unpaid July off), remote-first position that requires a physical presence in the greater MetroWest Boston community with the ability to travel for community meetings and in person events. This generalist position has both operations and programming responsibilities and will report directly to the Executive Director as a valuable member of the small staff team. Compensation: $27 hour
Areas of Responsibilities
The specific distribution of responsibilities will be shaped to optimize the strengths and professional growth of our final candidate and will be balanced across the following areas:
- Development and Fundraising: pursue new grant opportunities, facilitate sponsorship and funding initiatives, and build relationships as MWNN diversifies its funding.
- Program Support: Facilitate/co-facilitate and coordinate select programming (lunch and learns or affinity groups); and assist with special events, new initiatives, and workshops.
- Community Engagement and Communication: Cultivate and strengthen MWNN’s community outreach efforts through representation at local events, meetings, and partnerships. Monitor and manage select communication channels, including social media and newsletters.
- Strategic Collaboration and Additional Assignments: Collaborate to advance MWNN’s mission and vision. Engage in special projects such as the MERC Benefits and Compensation Survey, internal strategic planning, SEI partnership, and other initiatives aimed at organizational advancement. Provide operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in one or more of these areas:
- Nonprofit experience (either working or volunteering in the nonprofit sector)
- Fundraising and development knowledge (background with fundraising and/or past grant research and writing experience)
- Community engagement experience (work with community outreach, partnership building, and event coordination)
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and an understanding of mission driven work
