Every nonprofit has a story to tell. In this Lunch and Learn we will focus on how to use data to help you tell your story in the clearest, most accessible, and engaging way. Kate Baker, our guide on this Lunch and Learn, will share real life examples and talk about:
- How to determine what story you want to tell and what kind of data will help you.
- What are the best practices for tracking and communicating data?
- What kinds of tools are available for visually presenting and tracking your data?
- Where to find data sources relevant to the region that can support your nonprofits story.
Kate Baker enjoys finding ways to make data come alive for everyday decision-making. She currently serves as a Policy Analyst at the MetroWest Health Foundation, where she analyzes health-related federal, state, and local-level policy, programmatic research, and data. Prior to joining the Foundation Kate held roles as a Program Manager at Boston University, an Americorps VISTA at a Maryland nonprofit, and as an ACA Enrollment Specialist at a community health center. Kate holds a B.S. in Marketing from Bentley University and a M.P.H. in Biostatistics from Boston University. When she is not crunching numbers, she moonlights as a local farmer’s market manager.
