MetroWest NonProfit Network announces Finance and Budget Workshop for nonprofit organizations

MetroWest Nonprofit Network (MWNN) is thrilled to announce the
return of its highly anticipated Nonprofit Budget and Finance Fundamentals Workshop, scheduled for
March 22, 2024. Following the success of last year’s event, MWNN is once again providing an invaluable
opportunity for nonprofit professionals to enhance their financial management skills.

The interactive workshop is designed to equip attendees with the essential knowledge and tools to create
and manage nonprofit organization budgets effectively and efficiently. Participants can expect to explore a
comprehensive array of topics, including the following:
● An overview of nonprofit financial management and IRS classifications
● Definitions of nonprofit accounting terms
● Understanding financial statements
● Evaluation of financial performance
● Identification and creation of various budget types including operating, capital, and cash budgets
● Grant budgeting considerations
● Development of internal financial controls and policies

Leading the workshop will be return MWNN presenter Gregg Grenier, Vice President of Mass Budget and
Policy Center. With his extensive experience in fundraising, accounting, financial planning, budgeting,
human resources, and internal operations, Grenier brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to
the session.
