Our 2024 MetroWest Nonprofit Network Board

MWNN is looking forward to this new year and is grateful for the amazing leadership that sustains us! For more than 30 years, this organization has benefited from the work of engaged leaders who have generously shared their expertise and time to guide MWNN as it serves the region. As we make our way into 2024, we want to recognize our incoming and transitioning members and thank all our board for their part in this legacy of MWNN leadership!

At the end of 2023, Seth Izen completed his second term on our board. Throughout his tenure with the MWNN, Seth provided grounded guidance, thoughtful support, and so much of his time. He volunteered generously as the board clerk, a Lunch and Learn presenter, and three time guest instructor for our Certificate in Nonprofit Management program. We look forward to Seth’s continued involvement as part of the larger MWNN community and the critical resources he provides our region in his work as the Executive Director at MetroWest Mediation.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Sue Dargan to our board. Sue is the Dean of Education and Social & Behavioral Sciences at Framingham State University and a longtime community partner of MWNN. She is a great champion of community engagement and service learning; a dedicated educator with a commitment to social justice; and an experienced leader invested in our region. We are excited to work with Sue in the coming years and look forward to the great perspective, skills, and insight that she will bring to our board.

Our 2024 board’s returning members include Emmanuella Gibson, DEIB Specialist at DCU, and Marie Beam, CEO at the Discovery Museum. This year’s board will be chaired by Liz Garrigan-Byerly, Area Conference Minister for the North Central Region of the Southern New England Conference. Our 2024 Vice Chair is Kate Baker, Research Director at the MetroWest Health Foundation. Matt Paradise, CEO, Matt Paradise Consulting, will continue for another term as our Treasurer and we are happy that Rachel Vingsness, Director of Programs and Operations at the Natick Service Council, is our Board Clerk. Nancy Gaulin, Clinical Psychologist, will continue on the board after completing her term in 2023 as Board Chair. We are incredibly happy that Nancy Gaulin is continuing on our board and want to pause and acknowledge her years of leadership.

Our board is a hard working team whose dedication makes all the work of MWNN possible. Thank you to this wonderful group and to everyone who has served in past years! If you are interested in learning more about becoming involved with MWNN, please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
