Building the future- One leader at a time.

Welcome friends,

ANNOUNCING! We are so excited to announce the launch of the first MetroWest Certificate in Nonprofit Management for Practitioners – a collaboration between MWNN and Framingham State University. This program is the result of a three-year planning process that involved feedback from board members, nonprofit leaders, community members, higher education colleagues, supporters, funders, and our beloved Lone Rangers. Since day one MWNN’s mission has been to support and strengthen the MetroWest nonprofit community by creating opportunities for connection, collaboration, and action. The certificate program weaves together all the threads that have been core to MWNN’s work for 30 years – creating community, sharing expertise, honoring lived experience, and building a network of strong, diverse leaders for the future.

We have gathered a cohort of the most amazing instructors – each one brings deep knowledge of the sector, direct lived experience, and a passion for the work of nonprofits. The curriculum has been designed to provide practical tools and skills as well as opportunities for networking, peer-to-peer learning, and mentoring. We hope you will consider joining the inaugural Class of 2021.

And don’t forget – Spend Wednesdays from 11:30-12:30 with us! MWNN continues to offer a range of programming to meet the needs of nonprofit leaders, staff, and supporters. Join us at our monthly MW LONE RANGERS gathering for Executive Directors every third Wednesday of the month from 11:30 am-12:30 pm and our popular LUNCH and LEARN series every first, second, and fourth weeks of the month.  We have had so many wonderful conversations since the series began in May 2020 and we love having this opportunity to connect amazing people to each other. Let us know if you have a topic you would like to suggest by emailing us at [email protected]

We invite you to join our LONE RANGERS FACEBOOK GROUP to tap into the wisdom of your colleagues and encourage you to follow us on FACEBOOK  and INSTAGRAM for regular updates and resources.

Please make sure you register your organization on our newly launched site MW Connects . This site will serve as a central clearinghouse for all MetroWest nonprofits and will provide a forum for organizations to share their own stories, as well as their volunteer and donation needs. There are over 5,000 nonprofits in MetroWest. Let’s make sure everyone is visible to the community!
