Hope and Comfort’s mission is to provide essential hygiene products to support and improve the health, self-esteem, and hygiene education of school-aged children and young adults in need within Greater Boston.
About
Hope and Comfort is a tax-exempt 501c3 nonprofit that provides essential personal hygiene items to school-aged children and young adults in need within Greater Boston. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits do not cover hygiene products. This makes getting essential items a huge challenge. They are expensive and buying them shifts money away from other urgent needs. At Hope and Comfort, we know how something as basic as a bar of soap can have a huge impact on how individuals feel about themselves. Because of this, we work tirelessly to bring these critical products to all who need them.

Hope & Comfort invites you to share your talents and give hope, comfort and confidence by volunteering! There’s a variety of ways to get involved: prepping products for delivery, hosting a collection drive, joining our Youth Boards, organizing a corporate volunteer event, applying for an internship, and so much more. In 2018, we worked with nearly 700 volunteers. We are in awe of the talent and creativity they bring to our organization. Many of our best solutions have come from volunteer-led special projects.
