Higher education is an outstanding expense under the best circumstances, but young parents face even greater challenges paying for college. Often, mothers suspend their educational pursuits to address the needs of their children. This often results in young mothers not completing their educational goals and making below or at the income poverty threshold. Here at RIO, we believe that young, motivated mothers deserve an equal opportunity at pursuing higher education and reaching long term income stability. We provide one on one intensive case management that will assist young mothers with academic success through community tutors, childcare, scholarships, and partnered resources.
